Gel Lighting

 

Gel lighting can be used in many different ways its has an effect that can change the mood & feel of a picture which can tell a story or just make a picture look unique instead of using normal lighting. Gel lighting comes in many different colours for e.g in my pictures I used colours such as Green, Yellow, Blue & Red. It was funy experiement with different gel lighting and to see the results of the photographs. Camera settings is on manual, shutter speed 1/30, Aperture 5.6, ISO 400.

Soft Light

Soft light is created by soft box, where the model will have a certain amout of light exposed onto them, this is how the clam shell effect was created by the reflector, where it allows light coming from the soft box reflect on her.

Hard lighting is created by the rim lighting in the background, there is no reflector used and light refelcts just on one side of the face and the other side is dark.

Shutter Zoom



Shutter Zoom

 

 

Shutter zoom is another camera effect. It is achieved by quickly zooming onto a object or anything you want to take a picture of whiles taking the photo at the same time. This camera effect allows you to focus and capture the main thing you want to take a picture which makes the picture more intresting and different from any ordinary photo. To achieve this photograph, you have to set the shutter speed on the camera to a low shutter speed but on TV setting.
